I am a recent PhD graduate from Purdue University in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. My research includes machine tool design for reduced energy consumption. My previous experience before graduate school includes the role of a Design Engineer and a Design Quality Engineer at Butler America in West Lafayette, IN.

DESIGN QUALITY ENGINEER, BUTLER AMERICA

April 2014 to December 2015

  • Reviewed designs of the engineers to make sure they fulfill the requirements of the customer and are overall
    a good design.

  • Reviewed drawings to make sure they follow Sikorsky and ASME Standards.

AIRFRAME DESIGN, BUTLER AMERICA

August 2012 - April 2014

  • Designed new and modified existing Airframe parts and drawings on multiple helicopter programs for
    Sikorsky.

  • Modified parts to address issues during production.

  • Created kit drawings to modify delivered aircraft.

PROJECT ENGINEER, BUTLER AMERICA

October 2013 - November 2013

  • Worked onsite at Sikorsky to help expedite the creation of new drawings.

  • Tracked drawings throughout release process to identify any holdups or issues.

  • Addressed issues to expedite individual drawings and streamlined the release process.

TRANSMISSIONS ENGINEER, BUTLER AMERICA

April 2012 - August 2012

  • Created detail drawings in CATIA V5 for Hamilton Sundstrand, now currently UTC Aerospace Systems.

  • Modified existing designs to accommodate for tolerance stack-ups for surrounding parts.

SUPPLIER SUPPORT ENGINEER, BUTLER AMERICA

August 2011 - April 2012

  • Investigated supplier issues with drawings, models, and parts lists.

  • Created Engineering Changes to correct drawing errors or to address supplier issues.

  • Worked onsite at Sikorsky to help expedite aging Tech Helps.
